Martin Scorsese's new documentary film about George Harrison got it's London premiere last night on the South Bank...

Living In the Material World features interviews with Sir Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr and Yoko Ono - who were all there.

The film - about the Beatle know as the "quiet one" - was produced by George's widow Olivia and traces Harrison's life from his Liverpool upbringing through to his solo success away from the group.

Also on the red carpet was Noel Gallagher who is, of course, a big fan of the band.

"Not just to me, if you play guitar music and you're British it's the bench mark isn't it? And it's the bench mark that will probably never be beaten. They mean everything"

Sir Paul McCartney paid tribute to his former bandmate at the premiere.

"He was a lovely boy - as the film shows - he could be quiet but he could be loud too."

Living In the Material World is out in cinemas from tomorrow.
