2011 sees the 20th anniversary the most important and seminal album of our generation: Nirvana’s Nevermind. To celebrate Music: Response with Mary Anne Hobbs, has been compiling Nirvana Nation - an interactive map where you can voice what Nevermind meant to you .
We're no longer taking submissions for our Nirvana special, and our guitar competition has closed, but we would still like to hear what the album means to you. For instructions on how to contribute, see below.
Here's what you need to do:
1. Sign up for a SoundCloud account at www.soundcloud.com/signup.
2. Download the iPhone or Android app: iTunes or Android.
3. Record your message!
4. Save your message with the keyword NirvanaNation in the title. This is the important bit!
5. Set your location in the "Where" option. This is the other important bit!
6. Please note that by uploading audio to this map, you are agreeing that your clip may be played on Xfm.
Or...
You can email us your audio file (MP3) to competitions@xfm.co.uk, but be sure to add your name and your location so we can upload it to the correct place.
