New Courteeners Album in 2012
Liam Fray has told Xfm he'll be surprised if we haven't heard new stuff by January....
Speaking to Tim Cocker on the Xfm Manchester Breakfast Show the Courteeners frontman said that the new record sounds "really good at the minute".
He went on, "we've only done six or seven demos. I'd surprised if they weren't all on the record. Each one's ticking a box at the minute. It feels pretty good. But you never know, none of them might be on"
The Mancunian band are gearing up for their biggest ever outdoor headline show at Haigh Hall in Wigan next week, with support from The Coral.
Liam Fray told Cocker it's the fans that'll make it special
"When you get that Manchester thing people think that you ust do alright in your home town. We've got a pretty dedicated following.. bordering on mental"
The Haigh Hall gig takes place Thursday June 30 - tickets are on sale now and are available via the Xfm Ticket Shop.
