Speaking to Xfm backstage ahead of headlining our Winter Wonderland show the band confessed they're not going to be as secretive as when the album came out....

Speaking to Xfm's Steve Harris backstage at O2 Academy Brixton ahead of their headlining set at the London leg of Winter Wonderland the band explained that following the release of the Future Is Medieval - which was shrouded in secrecy and saw the band give fans control of the track order and the opportunity to make money if their mates bought their version - Kaiser Chiefs admitted they are planning are being more open in future.

Well the near future anyway.

"We do everything differently and the most different thing we could do to what we did last time is bring out a record normally," lead singer Ricky joked before continuing, "in the new year we're bringing out one single, a single on it's own. Which we've never done before."

"It's called On the Run and we recorded it with Stephen Street who, if you're a buff, you'll know he recorded our first two albums with. Well one and a half."

However the band admitted they wouldn't be introducing it to fans just yet.

"God no. We can't play it yet!"
