Johnny Marr Collaborates With Best Coast and Tom Vek
Mona and Au Revoir Simone are also part of the collaboration with the Smiths guitarist....
The project - entitled Ray Ban Raw sounds - sees Marr give each of the four musical acts an idea or object to write a song around.
"It sounded confusing to me at first, too," Marr admitted to SPIN. "But it turned out to be amazing."
He used things around him that interest him as the muses for his collaborators - including a photo of Manchester and a favorite quote from German philosopher Friedrich Schiller.
