Jarvis Cocker Curates Post Riots Album

The Pulp man has made a compilation for a label that lost most of its stock in the PIAS warehouse fire...

The Make Do and Mend series will see a variety of music's finest - including Jarvis Cocker and Gruff Rhys - delving into the Finders Keepers catalogue to create their own compilation for the label (via the Quietus).

The ten limited edition CD and MP3 albums will feature exclusive and unreleased tracks - with the first one, curated by Cocker, on sale now.

It's hoped the cash from their sale can help the label get back on its feet after losing the majority of its stock in the fire in Enfield last week.

Hundreds of indie labels have been hit after the Sony PIAS warehouse burnt down.

A fund has been set up by PIAS to help smaller labels stay afloat after more than a million CDs were destroyed.
