Gordon Smart Joins Xfm

Xfm welcomes the Sun journalist to new Sunday Show...
Xfm is excited to announce that award-winning showbiz journalist and man-about-town Gordon Smart will be joining the station to host his very own weekly Sunday afternoon show.
Broadcasting from Sunday November 20, the accomplished celebrity columnist will host Smart On Sunday where he will bring Xfm listeners stellar guest interviews, topical chat, intimate live sessions, and of course all of the biggest and best news and gossip from the most exclusive rock ‘n’ roll parties around. Naturally, the show will also feature hits from the Xfm playlist with a selection of x-list classics – providing you with the perfect soundtrack to your Sunday brunch.
Gordon says: “Joining Xfm is up there with the day I got my first BMX. Sunday hangovers should never be suffered in silence and Xfm has helped me get through plenty of them over the years. Now it's my turn to crack open the brilliant x-list, play some of the celebrity chats from my travels with The Sun and soothe some of those sore heads. I can't wait to get started."
With a career in journalism spanning over a decade, Edinburgh-born Gordon joined Bizarre at The Sun in 2004, becoming the column editor in 2007 where he has featured countless exclusive interviews and stories with some of the world’s biggest stars. Gordon is the go-to man for everything entertainment and in addition to his ever popular showbiz pages – with almost 3 million copies of the paper sold each day, it is estimated that the column is seen by approaching 7 million people daily, six days a week - he regularly appears on TV shows, most recently The Xtra Factor and Channel 4’s Real Stories.
Tune into Smart on Sunday every Sunday afternoon from 12-3pm on 104.9 FM in London 97.7 FM in Manchester and across the UK on digital and online at xfm.co.uk.
