Glasvegas cut their set short at V Festival in Chelmsford on Saturday night (August 20) - after some members of the crowd repeatedly threw bottles at them.

The band only lasted for four songs before walking off.. but issued a statement saying they will "always give 100%" and "want everyone, including the band, to have a good time and go home safely." (via NME)

It also said it's "an honour for Glasvegas to play in front of any crowd" and mentioned the band's recent performance at Pukkelpop shortly before the storm which brought bown tents and giant screens - killing several people - adding, "we were reminded first hand how important safety of a crowd and band are."

Glasvegas have recently announced a seven date Autumn tour.

24 - Koko, London

26 - The Old Market, Brighton

27 - Club Academy, Manchester

29 - The Leadmill, Sheffield
