Gary Lightbody Suffering Writer's Block

The Snow Patrol frontman has told Xfm the music is coming along great - it's just the words...
The band are currently in LA working on their sixth studio album with producer Jacknife Lee (REM, Editors, Bloc Party) for the fourth time.
Speaking to Xfm's Justin Lee Collins the singer said that the follow up to 2008's 'A Hundred Million Suns' is "coming along great".
"I've been having some trouble writing words, little bit of writer's block, but the music is flowing," he added.
Mr Lightbody went on to say, "there are four or five songs that are sounding like singles. Whether they're hits or not is up to the public but they are sounding like things I would hear on the radio."
Five of the tracks feature singer Lissie. A Gospel choir and some strings are also going to make an appearance on the new record.
Gary told Xfm fans can expect a progression in the Snowpatrol sound for this one.
"We're picking up from where 'Just Say Yes' left off a bit. There's quite a lot of electronic elements on this record. Although there's some big rock songs and some little quiet gems too. We're spreading out a little and it's sounding absolutely glorious."
It is hoped that the new album will be out this year.
