Ed Macfarlane is suffering from laryngitis….

Friendly Fires have had to cancel two shows this week, as singer Ed Macfarlane is recovering from laryngitis.

The illness caused the cancellation of a show in Southampton on Saturday night (November 12), but it also means that a date at Nottingham's Rock City tonight (Monday November 14) and the O2 Academy Newcastle tomorrow (Tuesday November 15) will also be postponed.

"Sorry to everyone who was looking forward to seeing us," the band have said in a statement. "We are in the process of rescheduling these dates as soon as possible."
