End of Pink Floyd EMI Dispute

The band have signed a new five year deal with the label...
Despite a massive legal dispute, which saw the band in a high court battle last year, Pink Floyd have signed a new deal with EMI, ending all legal action.
The band had been unhappy with album tracks being available to download individually, saying they were designed to be part of an album as a whole.
Pink Floyd have been with EMI since the late 1960s and have sold 200 million albums worldwide.
The new deal means the music firm will still get to market and distrubute the band's back catalogue - including one of the world's best selling albums, 'Dark Side of the Moon'.
EMI group chief executive Roger Faxon said: "Pink Floyd are one of the most important and influential bands of all time and I know I speak for everyone at EMI when I say that it is a privilege to have the opportunity to work with them.
"We're looking forward to continuing to help the band reach new and existing fans through their incredible body of work."
