Elbow: "We're Due A Bad Festival Gig"

The band hope that their Benicassim set doesn't bring bad karma...
Elbow have been playing some storming gigs of late, with their Glastonbury slot one of the summer's highlights.
Speaking to Xfm's Eoghan McDermott before their show at this year's Benicassim festival in Spain, Guy Garvey admitted: "Glastonbury was probably the best gig of our lives, actually. That iconic stage. that field. All those people doing exactly what I want them to. It's bizarre. I think I said at one point, I'm sick of the power!
As for their set at Benicassim later tonight (July 15), bandmate Pete Tuner said: "We had a great gig here in 2008. We're due a bad gig though!"
A worried Garvey added: "Our drummer has a really bad habit of watching YouTube videos of people falling off stage just before they're about to go on. Is it bad karma? Yes, exactly!"
Xfm is sure this is just rampant superstition. But we have our fingers crossed all the same.
