Brett Anderson Has "Regrets" Over last Suede Album

He's told Xfm he will be very careful about what he releases in future...
Brett Anderson's told Xfm he has "regrets" over the release of fifth Suede album 'New Morning' in 2002.
Talking about the possibilty of writing some new material the frontman told Xfm's Sunta it might happen behind closed doors
"One thing I've really learnt from this whole process of reforming the band is things that I've regretted releasing, maybe the last Suede album, the reaction to it. I kind of regret that kind of reaction. Nothing would see the light of day unless I was really really excited about it. So there's a possibility we could do some writing together but no one ever knows about it."
Suede are playing their first three albums in full at O2 Academy Brixton in May and re-releasing remastered versions of their back catalogue.
Anderson told Xfm he thinks running though entire albums live is a good thing for any band to do:
"It's a challenge but I think it's quite nice. Sometimes you can get quite used to just banging through the hits when your touring and I think just looking through your back catalogue and being challenged by it and having to work things out and engage with it in a different way is probably quite good for you as a musician."
The O2 Academy Brixton dates are:
MAY 19 - 'SUEDE'
MAY 20 - 'DOG MAN STAR'
MAY 21 - 'COMING UP'
Tickets for the three gigs go on sale Friday (January 28) at 9am.
