Brett Anderson And Fatboy Slim To Play Oxfam Gigs

Oxfam are to launch the fifth anniversary of their Oxjam series of charity gigs later this month, with Fatboy Slim, Brett Anderson and Charlie Simpson all lined up to play.
An Oxfam shop somewhere in London will be the scene of the exclusive, intimate performances designed to raise money for the charity. The actual location will be announced shortly before the shows.
The confirmed line-up so far is:
Monday September 26: Fatboy Slim, Kissy Sell Out, Man Like Me
Tuesday September 27: Brett Anderson, Patrick Wolf, Ghostpoet
Wednesday September 28: Charlie Simpson, plus guests
Thursday September 29: Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs, Richard Russell, Kwes (DRC Music album launch). DRC Music is a project brought together by Damon Albarn to raise money for Oxfam.
Brett Anderson commented: "The Oxfam shop is a great British institution that no high street should be without, and the Oxjam gigs are an extension of this blend of philanthropy and off-beat style. Even better, the shop gigs are only the beginning of Oxjam, a whole month of music raising money to help Oxfam keep saving lives and making a difference all over the world."
Tickets to the shows cost just £25 per night for Monday to Wednesday and £20 for Thursday’s show, and will go on sale from 5th September exclusively from www.wegottickets.com/oxjam.
The shows will be followed by The Oxjam Takeover, a series of city-wide mini-festivals taking place in 33 locations across the UK, from Aberdeen to Bournemouth, on the weekend of 22 and 23 October.
