"Bloc Party Is Still Bloc Party"

The band respond to claims they are looking at new vocalists to make music with...
Kele's The Hunter EP comes out next month and yesterday the Bloc Party frontman announced a London date on December 17 at Brixton Electric - formerly the Fridge.
The singer recently revealed that he caught his bandmates going into rehearsals without him but today it looked like further bad news for those hoping for a full Bloc Party reunion anytime soon.
Speaking to NME guitarist Russell Lissack reportedly confirmed that the rest of the band intend to make music without him.
"It's not really a secret because Kele's been pretty busy doing solo stuff and it looks like he's going to be doing that a bit longer. The other three of us wanted to meet up and make music," he told the magazine.
"We were talking about just doing an instrumental thing, but now we might get a singer as well, to properly put some music out and play some shows."
Lissack did confirm though that there is no bad blood between Kele and the rest of them but it was not clear if they will be releasing music as Bloc Party or under a different name.
Initially responding to the news on his official blog Kele said:
"Hmm, i dont (sic) know what to make of this. a big part of me is laughing HARD at all of this but another part of me is all like WTF?
"I'm quite curious as to what a bloc party audition would be like? i wonder if they would let me sit on the panel so i could be a judge tyra banks style?"
But this afternoon the band have rubbished the claims on their official website saying simply "Bloc Party is still Bloc Party"
Followed by the words "see you soon."
Meanwhile the band's co-manager has confirmed to Xfm's Eddie Temple Morris that all four members are still members of Bloc Party.
