Beirut Confirm New Album

added 07 June 2011 at 17.26

‘The Rip Tide’ will be out August 29....

It's the first new release from the outfit in four years and fans are being told to expect a "dramatic shift" from 2007's 'The Flying Club Cup' and 2009's 'March of the Zapotec EP'.

The album's being released independently by mainman Zach Condon's Pompeii Records, which we're told has "NO (sic) large label affiliation whatsoever, so as to keep creative control."

It features track 'East Harlem' which is out now to download and fully released on July 18.
