Beatles To Reunite For Olympics?

McCartney rumoured to appear... with guests, maybe.
This week's latest rumour is that Sir Paul McCartney is likely to perform at the opening of the London 2012 Olympic Games. Various sources claim that the former Beatle will be joined by his former bandmate Ringo Starr and possibly Fab offspring Julian Lennon and Dhani Harrison.
Macca himself is denying all knowledge of the gig, but The Sun claim that a "source" says: "Macca was just being coy about the details. The organisers want The Beatles legend to appear alongside other big British acts, and they want Ringo on stage as well to make it extra special."
However, one should be wary of tabloid "insiders" at this present time. Meanwhile, film director Danny Boyle is to stage the opening ceremony, so we could even see an appearance by Iggy Pop? (By the way, Xfm started this rumour, right here, right now...)
