Beatles Back Anti-Piracy Campaign

The band's music is going to be used for the new Music matters video - which aims to stop illegal downloading...
The Beatles (well the remaining ones anyway) have backed a campaign to encourage people to appreciate the value of music and discourage illegal downloads by allowing their songs to be used in a promotional video for the Music Matters campaign.
The band are notoriously protective of their work - never allowing it to be used in adverts and only recently letting iTunes get hold of it.
Music Matters hopes to remind people of the "enduring value" of music and the amount of work that goes into making a great piece.
Elbow, Bernard Butler and Kate Bush have featured in previous videos as part of the campaign which is backed by artists, major labels and other parts of the industry.
Hey Jude, Something and Strawberry Fields Forever have been used by the campaign, to illustrate how the music of The Beatles has impacted upon peoples lives.
