The legendary shock rocker will play the tiny London venue later this month...

Alice Cooper will grace the stage at the 100 Club on June 26 in a show billed as "his most intimate gig in decades".

The appearance will be a warm up ahead of his October Halloween Tour 'Alice Cooper's Halloween Night Of Fear'.

"It's been a while since we played such an intimate venue," says Alice, "but strip away the theatrics and we are a pedal-to-the-metal rock band, born in clubs like the 100 Club. We play every show like that anyway and it will be fantastic to reconnect in that atmosphere. This show comes with a health warning - 'We don't do acoustic, this will be loud'."

The iconic venue spent the end of 2010 and beginning of 2011 under-threat because of rising running costs - with Mick Jagger and Mani among the big names calling for it to be saved.

It was rescued in February after shoe-maker Converse stepped in (bad pun alert).

Sir Paul McCartney recently played an intimate show at the club - with tickets selling out in minutes and being sold on for thousands of pounds.
