Zutons Singer Found Guilty Of Assault
Dave McCabe in court for headbutting incident...
Dave McCabe, lead singer with The Zutons, has been found guilty of assaulting a man. The musician was in court in Liverpool today (September 22) to face charges over an incident that took place in the city centre in February.
According to the BBC, the court heard how McCabe headbutted Peter Appleby during an argument. The singer said he reacted when one of Appleby's friends made a comment about his girlfriend's fur coat.
McCabe told the court: "The group of men stood next to us and one of them said to my girlfriend 'You look like you have got a beard'. When McCabe's girlfriend made a comment back, the singer tried to calm the situation, but the situation had flared up.
