Yeasayer’s first album, ‘All Hour Cymbals’ was hot. Their second album, ‘Odd Blood’, is a scorcher. Torching down the doors to mainstream success, it’s set to catapult Yeasayer to the same rarefied position as their friends and wonk-pop superstars MGMT. It’s the reason we made it our album of the week on the O2 Evening Show With Steve Harris.
Steve got Chris Keating on the phone to lavish a load of superlatives on the Brooklyn native. It was a corking interview, and one you really need to listen to if you want to know which member of Oasis he thinks is ‘obnoxious’, what it’s like to tour with MGMT and how it feels to have the world suddenly know your name.
