Organisers say the Irish superstars “could well be back next year”

Glastonbury organisers have not ruled out U2 returning to Glastonbury, and hinted it could happen as early as next year.

“They’ve never played here before and we’re very disappointed they can’t perform, but they could well be back next year or the year after that”, said organisers to the Irish Post.

The band were forced to cancel their headline slot after singer Bono sustained a back injury during rehearsals for the latest leg of their 360 Degree World Tour.
