The Noisettes Almost Split

The three-piece admit to a few “rough patches” following the success of second album ‘Wild Young Hearts’.

Dan Smith, The Noisettes guitarist, has admitted the band almost split earlier this year. The guitarist, speaking to The Daily Record, admitted the band’s success and his “dysfunctional love affair” with singer Shingai Shoniwa was to blame.

"We've had a few rough patches… We've known one other for 12 years and we're like brothers and sisters. But stuff nearly came between us.

He went on to admit that the pair had "a dysfunctional love affair that never came to fruition".

"I really fancied the s*** out of her. It's always been one of those weird Romeo and Juliet things where they never actually have each other and they both die."

“Me and Shingai made up and the moment that kind of sums it up is when we do our things on stage and I think 'How could I throw away that?”.
