Steven Tyler To Sue Aerosmith?

The ‘Smith’s frontman seeks legal advice following the band’s decision to continue without him.
Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler has reportedly been seeking legal advice to stop the band carrying on without him. The news follows rumours that Billy Idol, Chris Cornell, Lenny Kravitz and Paul Rodgers have all been approached to replace him.
Billboard have obtained a copy of the letter sent by Tyler’s lawyer to Aerosmith which urges them to "immediately cease and desist from engaging in acts and conduct to the harm and detriment of your own client, Aerosmith, and our client who is one of its members."
The letter goes on to suggest that Tyler still considers himself a member of the band and is keen to record a new album and tour Europe and South America.
"Steven Tyler does not want lawsuits", says the letter by lawyer Skip Miller. "We do not want to go in that direction. The direction we want is Aerosmith, with Steven Tyler, touring in Europe, touring Latin America, releasing a new album...This is the direction it's all intended to go. It's just amazing to me current management would be taking any other position."
