'Spangled' is available to download now...

The Smashing Pumpkins have released a new song for free.

The track, entitled 'Spangled', is available to download now from the Sweet Relief musicians fund website.

It will be available for 24 hours before being transferred to the band's official website.

The Smashing Pumpkins recently used Sweet Relief to help raise money for Madina Lake bassist Matthew Leone, who was seriously injured during a street attack in Chicago.

Meanwhile, the group are set to embark on an Australian tour this October.
