Slits to Release Song In Memory of Ari-Up

The Slits lead singer died last week following a long illness...
Arianna Forster - aka Ari-Up - passed away at the age of 48.
In a post on Twitter former guitarist Viv Albertine announced the single:
"Me and Tessa are going to release last ever Slits song Coulda Shoulda Woulda from 1981 on cassette We will hand draw covers A healing thing"
The Slits' debut album 'Cut' came out in 1979 and heralded a wave of female artists into the punk world. They went on to tour with legendary punks such as The Clash, The Buzzcocks and The Sex Pistols and released follow up 'Return of the Giant Slits' before disbanding.
They reformed in 2009 and released 'Trapped Animal', their first album in 25 years.
