The Facebook organisers join the party at Finsbury Park...

The organisers of the Facebook campaign to get Rage Against The Machine to Christmas Number 1 joined the band onstage at their triumphant Finsbury Park show last night (June 6). Jon and Tracy Morter started the group to prevent last year's X-Factor winner Joe McElderry from taking the festive top spot.

"It totally hasn't sunk in at all," Tracy told Xfm. "We're still in shock really, we keep looking at each other going, Oh my God! Being on stage was just crazy, we tried not to think about how many people were out there becaise it was really, really scary. We didn't know that was going to happen until about an hour beforehand."

Tracy had nohing but praise for the band. "They're the most lovely people ever. We had so many hugs with them, they were really thankful. They loved what we did, what they really enjoyed was that it wasn't about getting to Number 1, but getting lots of people together to take action on something."

The show was opened by a cartoon version of Simon Cowell welcoming the band to London.
