Pixies: “Forget The Art!”

added 19 February 2010 at 10.32

Frank Black admits it’s cold hard cash that will get the alt.rock legends touring again.

Pixies mainman Frank Black has admitted that a tour to perform ‘Surfer Rosa/Come On Pilgrim’ will be decided by money. In a refreshingly frank conversation with TheQuietus, the legendary frontman said.

“We're interested in anything that's going to earn us a fair wage. It's not to say it's not about art, but we made that art fucking twenty years ago. So forget the fucking goddamn art. This ain't about the art anymore. I did the arty farty part. Now it's time to talk about the money”.

So what do you think? Is Frank Black the only honest reformed rocker out there? Or is it all about the art? Or is it all a load of arse? Comments please, folks…

  1. Forget the f.... reason!!! Lets just enjoy f....Frank Black on tour again!!!.

I still remember a great show of Pixies in Amsterdam in the late 90´s.

Maybe is old art, but they are still over the top of indie after Pixies bands.

Do you prefer old indie art or newbie trash??

Lets enjoy this honest legend and give them thousands of pounds!!!.

And hey Frank, what about third world countries like Mexico, you are a living legend over here too, we can also give you thousands of US dollars if you make a tour among cities like Hermosillo, Monterrey, Guadalajara, Cancun and Mexico City.

I´m in the music business around here so if you have interest in making a profitable tour around Mexico just make contact.
