Behind The Scenes Of Pavement Reunion

Drummer Steve West and guitarist Scott Kannberg allow glimpses of what's to come...

With Pavement's long-awaited reunion set to begin today (March 1) in New Zealand, the band have posted a few tantalising tidbits of what's ahead when the tour hits the UK in May. First to draw back the curtains was drummer Steve West, who posted a brief video clip of rehearsals on Youtube (see below).

A few days ago, guitarist Scott 'Spiral Stairs' Kannberg took to his blog to reveal that the band had been readying over forty songs for the tour.

“Speaking of practice, we recently had two good weeks of practice in portland”, said the guitarist. “It was the first time some of us had been in the same room together for close to 10 years. i think we all were a little nervous. it started off pretty rough, except for our drummer who probably practiced the most. but... by the time we had finished, most of the 40 plus songs we had rehearsed were sounding pretty good”.
