Little Boots – 'Hands'

added 18 January 2010 at 08.15

Victoria Hesketh and her instant synth pop classics...

Formerly of all-girl indie electro band Death Disco, Victoria Hesketh went solo in December 2008 and reinvented herself as Little Boots. The name was either a) a reference to the Roman Emperor Caligula b) a reference to Victoria's tiny feet or c) a reference to her job in a small branch of the well-known high street chemist's.

Working with Greg Kurstin and Hot Chip's Joe Goddard in LA, the first Little Boots single was 'New In Town' in May 2009, with the full-length album 'Hands' appearing the following month. The debut is due to be released in the US in March this year.

  2. Hands deserves to win err Hands down (pardon the pun) A truly talented artist who is down to earth as well, Hands deserves it's recognition and it's place in Xfm's top ten albums of the year if not number 1.
