Bombay Bicycle Club – 'I Had The Blues But I Shook Them Loose'

Delicate indie rock from Crouch End...
Named after the London chain of curry houses, the BBC got a head start in 2006 when they won the 'Road To V' competition and were asked to open both the Chelmsford and Staffordshire legs of the festival. Their debut EP, 'The Boy I Used To Be' arrived in February 2007 on their own Mmmm...Records imprint, and following a summer of festival appearances, the band went into the famous Konk Studios to record their full-length debut.
The resulting album, 'I Had The Blues, But I Shook Them Loose' was released on their new label, Island, in April 2009. The band is: Jack Steadman (vocals, guitar), Jamie MacColl (guitar), Ed Nash (bass) and Suren de Saram (drums). The BBC are set to re-release their 'Evening/Morning' single as a limited edition in February.
