Muse’s Mixed Glastonbury Emotions

added 24 February 2010 at 10.28

The band admit extreme highs and lows of 2004 appearance will amount to a strange return.

Muse bassist Christ Wolstenholme has said that returning to headline Glastonbury will be a strange experience for the band. The band’s last appearance at the festival in 2004 saw them turn in an epic headline set, but contrasted with the tragic death of drummer Dom Howard’s dad backstage.

Wolstenholme is reported as saying, "Last time we played it was the highest and lowest point of our life in terms of the band's career - it's going to be very strange going back.

"We went out there [and] had the best gig of our lives. The band has grown a lot since we played there last time. It is going to be nice to go back but with everything else that happened, obviously there are going to be some mixed emotions."
