Muse Will Not Soundtrack Clash Of The Titans

Turns out the Teignmouth trio are too busy touring to soundtrack the new ‘Titans movie. Massive Attack collaborator Neil Davidge steps in.

Louis Letterier, the director of the upcoming ‘Clash Of The Titans’ movie, has told MTV that Muse will not be working on the film’s soundtrack. Despite Matt Bellamy seeming keen, the plan has been thwarted by the band’s touring schedule.

Letterier also revealed that he was initially only after a musical contribution from the frontman, rather than the band.

"It was not Muse ever, it was Matt Bellamy", said the director. "I love Muse, I’m the biggest Muse fan ever, but I wanted something a little different. [Matt] wrote a lot of stuff, but he started his tour. So not so long ago, he called me and he was like 'Louis, I’m so sorry. I have to be respectful to my audience and be professional and I have to stop on Clash.'"

Letterier instead turned to Neil Davidge, who had worked with the director on his feature film, ‘Danny The Dog’. Davidge has been a long-standing Massive Attack collaborator with credits on the band’s ‘Mezzanine’ and ‘100th Window’ albums.
