The Hole frontwoman tells US TV about her last conversation with her husband.

Courtney Love, in an interview with TV station Fuse, has told host Toure that her final conversation with husband Kurt Cobain was about money. The Hole frontwoman revealed that the pair had talked about Nirvana headlining 1994’s touring Lollapalooza Festival, having being told that they were on the verge of going broke and that Smashing PumpkinsBilly Corgan was set to earn $11.5 million from the jaunt.

When asked about what her final conversation with Kurt Cobain was like, Courtney replied:

“It was about getting him into rehab. Oh no, it’s worse than that, my last conversation was if he didn’t do Lollapoalooza… it was gross, it was gross... like Billy [Corgan] would make 11.5 million from it. It was the last thing he wanted to hear. He didn’t care.

“I got totally put up to it. The people around us were fucking evil, like, “You guys are going to go broke”. When he died he had 38 million dollars and no one knows where that went”.
