Pete Quaife, original bassist with The Kinks, has died. He was 66. The BBC reports that the cause of the musician's death has not been confirmed, but that he had been undergoing kidney dialysis for several years.
Quaife was a founding member of the London group led by Ray and Dave Davies and appeared on many of the band's early hits, including 'All Day And All Of The Night', 'You Really Got Me', 'Sunny Afternoon' and more.
He left The Kinks in 1969, as the band were working on their album 'Arthur' and formed his own band Mapleoak.
