Keith Richards: "I Can Go Crazy But I'm Not Stupid"

added 04 November 2010 at 16.40

The Rolling Stones' Guitarist is trying to dispel his rock 'n roll reputation...

Keith Richards must be one of the hardest working celebrity-turned-authors doing the rounds at the moment. He is still on the campaign trail for his new autobiography 'Life'.

Speaking to Sky News he says he hopes the book's release will prove he's not 'just a bad boy':

"Part of the whole reason for this book is to dispel some of that junky, dopey, rock 'n' roll. It's not like that at all - hey I can go crazy but I'm not stupid."

The book - which is out now - is the musician's first foray into authordom - and it is something he enjoyed:

"I thought I'd done everything. Being an author is a certain responsibility and I'm quite amazed by the response - it's crazy."
