Kasabian: “Let’s Blow Up iTunes!”

Serge Pizzorno and co. take a stand against the internet and illegal downloaders. “There’s nothing special about music anymore”, they say.

Kasabian’s Chris Edwards and Serge Pizzorno have launched a stinging attack on digital music and illegal downloading. In an interview with Irish publication Hot Press, the pair believe that music culture has been debased by modern technologies.

“No one has to queue up for an album. There’s no hysteria, no looking forward to it – you can download it months before, if you search the web enough”, said bass player Chris Edwards.

Guitarist Pizzorno added:

“Wouldn’t it be phenomenal if there was some sort of wave that hit earth and wiped everyone’s computer and the only thing left was CDs and records?”

“You could go down and blow up iTunes so there’s no songs on the internet!”, concluded Edwards. “Then wipe out all the hard drives – beep! Then everyone would have to get CDs and records.”
