John Lennon Memorabila Goes Under Hammer
The collection is being auctioned in London today...
Ivor Novello Awards, letters, an acoustic guitar and a list of the icon's expenses from May 1968 is also going under the hammer at auction house Bonhams in Knightsbridge.
A set of handwritten lyrics for I'm Only Sleeping is expected to fetch the most - estimated between £250,000-350,000.
The table on which he wrote them is also up for grabs.
Stephanie Connell from Bonhams thinks there'll be huge interest:
"He's one of the most famous people of the 20th century and probably one of the most important musicians of all time so I think an opportunity to own a lyric or an award or something directly to do with Lennon, that's important, is obviously something that collectors want."
