Jack White Solo Album On The Way

added 08 January 2010 at 10.04

The White Stripe, Raconteur and Dead Weather man announces his intention of flying solo.

Jack White has revealed he’s planning his first solo album. White, who currently has more projects on the go than a dilligent primary school, is said to fancy the challenge of playing all the instruments himself.

“I've never done that”, he told Rolling Stone. “I thought about that. That might be the challenge - to differentiate from anything else that I've done.”

White remained vague on the date of its arrival and preferred to take an ad hoc approach to his commitments.

"It would be a mistake for me to pre-meditate anything, even in the next six months, to say what I'm going to do… I'd rather live like this without a calendar in front of me."
