Fans Urge Glastonbury To Keep Flags

added 08 February 2010 at 17.22

13,000 festival goers vote to decide on the fate of Glasto’s flags.

A small majority of Glastonbury fans have urged organisers to not ban flags at this year’s event. 55% of the 13,000 votes cast at the Glastonbury festival website were in favour of seeing flags inside the festival arena.

Glasto organisers polled festival goers after Download banned flags from this year’s bash. Despite a narrow victory for those in favour of keeping flags, the poll was only an ‘opinion gauger’.

On the result, festival organisers said,

“It's been really useful to get an idea of the passion this debate raises among festival-goers, by reading your comments across the web”.
