EMI Lose Paul McCartney’s Back Catalogue

The former Beatle hands the distribution of his post-Beatles records to an indy.
In a move that will come as more bad news to the beleaguered major label, EMI has lost the rights to distribute Paul McCartney’s post-Beatles output. In a move that the Wall Street Journal are calling symbolic rather than material, Macca has decided to hand the distribution to independent label Concord Music Group.
The former-Beatle was able to make the switch after regaining control to his output this February. Concord Music Group have also been responsible for releasing two of Macca’s most recent solo albums.
