Coldplay Get Sued. Again.

Chris Martin and co. are facing fresh allegations of plagiarism as an unknown songwriter claims he wrote some of the band’s biggest hits.
First it was Joe Satriani, now a songwriter called Sammie Lee Smith claims he’s had songs lifted by Coldplay. The allegations surround ‘Yellow’, ‘Clocks’ and ‘Trouble’ – some of Coldplay’s biggest hits – which Smith claims were stolen from him.
TMZ.com report that Smith filed a lawsuit in LA’s County Superior Court yesterday (January 13). The songwriter is demanding the band stop playing the songs and is seeking monetary compensation for the copyright infringement.
The news, of course, comes after axe-throttler Joe Satriani’s claims that the band used “significant” portions of his song ‘If I Could Fly’ for ‘Viva La Vida’. The case was later settled out of court.
