Charity sets up special shows for September...

The line-up for this year's Oxjam has been announced - and The Charlatans and Razorlight frontman Johnny Borrell are set to headline some very special shows.

As usual with the series of charity events, a London Oxfam shop will be the location for the shows, which kick off later this month.

First up, on Monday September 27, will be The Charlatans, with special guest Tom Furse from The Horrors. Also on the bill will be Dan Le Sac Vs Scroobius Pip.

On Wednesday September 29 will be Johnny Borrell plus guests, while the following day Four Tet will play.

There will be less than 200 tickets per night, which will go on sale from 9am on Thursday September 2 from www.wegottickets.com/oxjam. All proceeds will go to Oxfam's work around the world.

"I'm a huge fan of Oxfam," Charlatans frontman Tim Burgess told Xfm, "mainly cos they have a really great record section in some of the larger stores, so I spend a lot of time rummaging to find some lost treasures.

"It's a great way to hang out with your friends and do a bit for charity."

And Tim had some advice for anyone who was planning to put on a show of their own for Oxjam. "What was it they said in 'Wayne's World'? Book the gig and they will come. Just ask whoever you want to play and I'm sure they'll show up.
