Bono Launches African Art and Clothing Line

added 06 October 2010 at 16.49

Music, world peace and musicals aren't enough...

The U2 frontman runs a fashion company called Edun along with his wife which aims to provide income to African people by creating products sourced from African materials.

They have announced a collaboration with Louis Vuitton at the African Rising Art Exhibition in Paris.

The Irish singer says Africa's a great inspiration, "we are excited to draw attention to the new mood in Africa which is positive, optimistic and we're trying to do more and more fashion there."

It is one of many things Bono has turned his hand to. As well as fronting one of the most successful bands in the world he also co-owns a hotel in Ireland, has helped to write a Broadway musical about Spiderman and tried to bring peace to the world.
