Beach Boys Full Reunion “Definitely” Happening

Wilson yet to comment on 50th anniversary speculation.
Original Beach Boy Al Jardine has claimed that Brian Wilson will “definitely” rejoin the group for at least one show next year, in celebration of the seminal surf band’s 50th anniversary.
Jardine told Rolling Stone magazine that the line-up will include himself, Wilson, Mike Love and Bruce Johnston. Even original guitarist David Marks may join, he said.
"We’re definitely doing at least one show — you heard it first," Jardine said. "It’s a big deal. I don’t know where it will be yet, but it’ll probably be free.”
Only a month ago Mike Love, who still tours under the Beach Boys name with Johnston, poured cold water on reunion gossip. He and Wilson are yet to comment on the Rolling Stone article.
Wilson’s manager said he was “a hundred per cent focussed” on his new album, ‘Brian Wilson Reimagines Gershwin’, due for release in August.
The band’s fractious nature has become the stuff of legend, with Brian Wilson, their main creative force during their ’60s commercial peak, foced to quit the band while battling personal problems. There have been legal battles and early deaths, with Wilson’s brothers Dennis and Carl, also both members, dying of drowning and cancer respectively.
