Plus, Karen O and company add another UK date...

Following the announcement that Adam "MCA" Yauch of the Beastie Boys is to undergo surgery for cancer, Yeah Yeah Yeahs have stepped in to replace the rap trio on their Lollapalooza dates. The Beasties were due to peforma at the groundbreaking US festival at Chicago's Grant Park on August 8, but now Karen O's combo will fill in.

Meanwhile, the Yeah Yeah Yeahs have added another date to their UK tour this winter. The band will now play the O2 Academy in Sheffield on December 7 and tickets will go on sale this Friday (July 24) at 9am. For more info, see www.xfm.co.uk/gigs.
