Xfm Meets The Hot Melts At SXSW

As possibly the most ‘refreshed’ artists we encountered, the Scouse kings of spiky guitar pop hunted us down for a chat at South By Southwest.
The Hot Melts rocked South By Southwest. We at least remember that much. Packed on to a tiny stage at BD Riley’s, on Austin’s infamous 6th Street, The Hot Melts kicked out a taut set of dazzlingly brilliant pop songs.
Part Weezer, part Elvis, entirely brilliant, The Hot Melts quite possibly turned in the set of the entire festival. Not surprisingly, we wanted to catch up with the band for a quick chat before super-stardom came calling. When we did catch up with the four-piece at the huge Fader party, they’d had a few free beers. Actually, they’d probably had more than a few.
The interview with a ‘refreshed’ Hot Melts is below.
Do you want to quickly introduce yourselves…
