Think you’ve got Laura Marling pegged? Think again. We met up with the queen of nu-British folk after she’d wowed a packed house at Austin. What followed was incredible. It turns out she unwinds by looking at bats, wants to form a punk band and has gone all medieval on album number two.

I literally just came out here to play this festival...
