Woodstock Festival Returns

The daddy of all festivals returns to celebrate its fortieth anniversary. Sites in New York and Berlin have been booked for August.
Woodstock, the legendary festival that kicked it all off in 1969, returns this year to celebrate its fortieth anniversary. The original ‘peace and love’ festival featured towering performances from The Who and Jimi Hendrix.
Woodstock is set to take place in New York on August 15-16, exactly forty years after the original. The Berlin event will follow on August 22-23 at an abandoned airport.
In a step to distance itself from the thirtieth anniversary festival which was marred by violence and rioting, organisers intend to book bands that featured at the original festival. Details of the line-up have yet to be confirmed.
