The White Stripes "Will Return"

Jack White assures the world there will be a new album next year...
There's some good news for White Stripes fans... Despite going out on tour with new side project The Dead Weather, Jack White has confirmed there will be a new album from Meg and him next year. The pair have already recorded a couple of new songs and will be back in the studio after the summer.
The Stripes were put on hold at the end of the band's tour two years ago, when Meg came down with a case of "acute anxiety", meaning the cancellation of some shows.
"I just came from a Raconteurs tour and went right into that, so I was already full-speed," White told Musicradar.com. "Meg had come from a dead-halt for a year and went right back into that madness. Meg is a very shy girl, a very quiet and shy person. To go full-speed from a dead-halt is overwhelming, and we had to take a break."
"People don’t really understand. They think you go up onstage and you’re having a blast, like you’re partying or some shit. That’s not the case. It’s hard work to go on tour."
